The State Planning Commission was set up by the resolution of Finance, Planning, Economics & Statistics Department of Government of Chhattisgarh in January 2001. The mandate of the Commission is to re-imagining the development agenda and to help the Government to implement its policies effectively, more efficient utilization of the material, capital, and human resources within and outside the State. The Commission acts as a think tank and catalyst for facilitating good governance and providing a platform for the resolution of cross-sectoral issues between the departments and other agencies. It acts as a Knowledge and Innovation hub.
